Questions about moving
When do I have to make the change-of-address notice?
At the latest one week after the move, but you can make it up to a month before. On muuttoilmoitus.fi one notice goes to both Posti and DVV.
Do I need to tell the Tax Administration my new address?
Usually not: the Tax Administration gets it from DVV automatically when you make the change-of-address notice.
Does my electricity contract move with me?
No. You end the old contract and make a new one for the new address. Compare in good time so the power is on on moving day.
What do I do with old furniture?
Sell it on Tori or Facebook Marketplace, donate it to Kierrätyskeskus or take it to a Sortti station. Our movers can also take things to recycling during the move.
